The Travel Bug's 3 Fascinating Facts About Shrewsbury

TTB has been a busy little bug this week, with a day trip over the Welsh border and into beautiful Shropshire.   While resting in the town's flower beds, he found out the following fascinating facts!

Shrewsbury smells good.... 

  • Shrewsbury was the birth place of world renowned naturalist, Charles Darwin and there are many tributes to the great man around the town.  

  • Shrewsbury is home to more than 600 listed buildings.  600!    

  • The Shrewsbury Flower Show is the longest running horticultural show in the world.
